Question 1

Do you serve all of Irving?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Las Colinas, Valley Ranch, Hackberry Creek, Cottonwood Valley, Irving Heights, University Hills, Bear Creek and south Irving, plus nearby Coppell, Grand Prairie, Euless, Farmers Branch and Carrollton.

Question 2

When is the best time to install sod in Irving?

Accepted Answer

Spring through early fall is ideal, when soil is warm enough for roots to establish. Sod can be installed in winter but establishes slowly and needs careful watering.

Question 3

How long before I can walk on new sod?

Accepted Answer

Light foot traffic is usually fine after about two weeks. Keep heavy use, play and pets off it for three to four weeks while roots knit into the soil.

Question 4

Do you remove the old grass?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Laying sod over existing turf is one of the most common causes of failure. We remove it, prep the soil and haul the debris away.

Question 5

Can you sod a shaded yard?

Accepted Answer

Partial shade is workable with St. Augustine. Deep shade under mature trees usually is not, and we will recommend beds, ground cover or decorative stone instead rather than sell you turf that will thin out.

Question 6

Do you guarantee the sod?

Accepted Answer

We stand behind our installation and material. Establishment depends heavily on watering, so we provide a written watering schedule and follow up after installation to check on progress.
